Jane Vair Bissler, Ph.D., LPCC, FT

A lifelong resident of Kent, Jane has a Master of Education degree in community counseling and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Kent State University. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor at Counseling for Wellness and is a fellow in thanatology by the Association of Death Education and Counseling. Jane publishes a weekly newspaper column addressing issues regarding grief and loss for adults and children. She also maintains a web site, Counseling for Loss, which focuses on grief issues. She also enjoyed teaching in the master's level community counseling program at Kent State University. She is a member of both ADEC and the ACA, and she enjoys reading in her spare time. Jane and her husband Rick have 2 children, Stephanie and Carlie.
